Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette (January 31, 1937 from 1937 to January 19th January 19, 2008) was an American theatre, film television, voice actress. Pleshette began her career in the theatre. She appeared in films in the late 1950s. Later, she became an important actor in films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). From 1972 to 1978, Pleshette would appear regularly on television productions of various kinds. She also played Emily Hartley, which earned numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City, on January 31 in 1937. The parents of the couple were Jewish immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary. Her mother was an artist, dancer and choreographer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was stage manager for the Paramount Theater, Manhattan, and the Paramount Theater, Brooklyn.
