Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her leading roles in the action-spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the romantic film Precious. Born into a middle-class family living in Los Angeles, she harboured big dreams as a child. The mother of her children was a film buff and instilled an interest in films in her daughter. Paula became involved in many co-curricular events at school however she showed an interest in drama. She was an excellent actress, and she enjoyed performing alongside her peers. After performing in a variety of high school productions at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School She decided to pursue acting her profession. As a student in a summer camp at the University of Southern California, she thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She was given a three month assignment to make documentary films for PBS. When she was able to complete the assignment successfully, she started working as an assistant in television documentary production. In the following years, she transitioned to the production of documentaries. Although she enjoyed her work, she yearned for acting roles. She launched her acting career with a small role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. Since then, she has been in numerous famous television and film productions.
