Emily Bett Rickards, born on July 24, 1991 in Canada is a Canadian actor who is best known for playing Felicity Smoak in The CW TV series Arrow. Rickards is from British Columbia native. As a child, Rickards began her professional career with the musical theater and later dancing. In later years, she was hoping to introduce herself to professional acting. Her path in career development began at an early age after she completed from high school and attended the Vancouver Film School. There, she completed the Acting Essentials Course. After the course was completed it was time to attend an audition open to the public and was able to get her an agent. She attended the Alida Vocal Studio in Vancouver. Her initial intention was to be a guest on one episode of the series However, her enthusiastic reactions from fans and her ability to sarcasm led her firstly, as a guest star, and then being a co-star for the remaining episodes of season 1.
