Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She was co-founder of The Huffington Post, is the CEO and founder of Thrive Global as well an author of fifteen novels. Arianna Huffington is a journalist and television host, as well as philanthropist as well as the founder and publisher of The Huffington Post. Originally from Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England with her family when she was 16 years old. In Cambridge University she earned a MA degree in Economics. The first non-English student to graduate, she was elected President of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. Being a conservative syndicated blog, after graduating she became a voice of the Huffington Post. In part, her fame led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna was first noticed during 2003 when she volunteered in California's recall vote, in the place of Governor Davis. AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post in 2011 and named her the president of their media company that also includes the other AOL brands like Engadget AOL Music Style list and Patch Media. She was the daughter of journalist and management consultant Konstantinos as well as his spouse Elli Stasinopoulos. Though she was close with her father, it was her relationship with her mother that shaped her character. As a child she demonstrated leadership skills that she still is known for. at the age of 16 she relocated back to United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge.
