Walker was born in 1976 in Philadelphia Pennsylvania United States of America. She is of African-American heritage as well as an American national. She is the daughter of Harvey Welker (a Native American father) and Julie Welker (an African-American mom). Her father works in engineering while her mother is an estate agent. Walker went to her school at the Germantown Friends School of Philadelphia's Germantown, where she received the diploma in 1994. Then, in 1998 she earned her graduation at Harvard College with a Bachelor's degree. Welker got married to John Hughes in Philadelphia, who was an acclaimed marketing director. They have two daughters. The couple began in 2014 having an affair with one other. John is her husband, and 4 years younger than her. Due to their relationship being so prosperous, they chose to go to the next stage. On March 4, 2017, they were married. Philadelphia Pennsylvania was the location of their wedding.
