Walker was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Walker is an American with African-American roots. The parents of her are Harvey Welker who is Native American as well as Julie Welker who is African-American. Her mother works as an agent in real estate while her father is a graduate in engineering. Walker attended school through Germantown Friends School located in Philadelphia's Germantown area where she graduated in 1994. In 1998, she graduated with an undergraduate degree at Harvard College. Welker has been since the age of 20 with John Hughes who is a prominent marketing director for Merck Philadelphia. John and Sheila are parents to two kids. In 2014 they began having an affair. John her husband has four years less than her. Their relationship was progressing enough that they decided to take their relationship to a new level. In the month of March, 2017, the couple got married. They were married in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. The wedding was huge held at The Hyatt hotel.
